Low-carbohydrate diets have been around for many years and are a popular choice among fitness buffs and weekend warriors. The new regime on the block is the slow carb diet. This regime is well established, but not in the spotlight has been thrown into the muscle and fitness magazines.

One of the most difficult challenges in a low carb diet is to find a replacement for low-carb bread. I love the bread and the way I ate hard rolls or French bread slathered with butter at every meal, but most are simply rolled up the menu in a low-carb diet.

Seeking a replacement for bread can be difficult, especially if you are a bread-a-holic like me. Pepperidge Farm breads from several reduced carbohydrate that is both tasty and satisfying, although it is usually more expensive than regular bread in the supermarket. I am particularly excited by the reduced Pepperidge Farm Oatmeal carbohydrates. Arnold Bakery is also a reduced carbohydrate bread, even if we do not buy it locally, as I hear them still, and is sold in some markets across the country.

Another alternative to wrap the bread is low carb. There are several companies come up with delicious low-carb wraps. We found several brands in one of our local grocery stores, a net that show less than 5 grams of carbs. Some of these new packages have special flavors like spinach and herbs and tomato-basil and some are very similar in texture and taste of regular soft tacos.
